Business Development Executive - Retail Outreach

Job Description

  • Drive business development efforts to support sales within the assigned geographic territory.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with key accounts in assigned territory for Pearl Trade.

Job Responsibility

  • Achieve business development goals as assigned, which may include the following:
Laboratory:
  • Expand client base by enrolling new lab business.
  • Drive visibility, awareness and recall for GIA brand.
  • Hold consumer/trade education and staff-oriented initiatives with help from appropriate channel partners.
  • Drive campaigns for awareness of new GIA service offerings.
  • Stay compliant with GIA’s client communication policy.
Education:
  • Raise awareness of GIA Education courses among prospective students.
  • Drive GIA’s outreach initiative.
  • Offer off-campus classes for Diploma and Extension courses.
  • Drive enrolments, oversee venue selection, on-site arrangements, logistics and other coordination for off-campus classes
  • Stay Compliant with GIA’s student communication policy
Planning & Organizing:
  • Record all activities in the CRM tool in prescribed workflow
  • Generate and use self-monitoring reports to stay on course
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity while recording activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Work under general supervision with limited day to day instruction on non-routine tasks
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Management, or a related field.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the Gem & Jewelry industry and/or working within a structured organization is preferred.
  • GIA education is preferred.

Additional Skills Required

  • Willingness to Travel.
  • Develop functional expertise. Need to understands B2B selling principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and customer databases; comfortable working with cloud-based CRM tools.
